What Is Positive Behaviour Support?

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an evidence-based framework that looks at why behaviours occur and how to respond with dignity, understanding, and skill-building.
With NDIS funding, behaviour support can include:

  • Functional behaviour assessments
  • Development of a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP)
  • Skill-building strategies for daily routines
  • Collaboration with families, carers, and allied health teams

Who We Support

JANGO’s behaviour support services are designed for people who may:

  • Display behaviours that pose a risk to themselves or others
  • Experience emotional dysregulation or aggression
  • Have a diagnosis such as autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, or psychosocial disability
  • Benefit from structured strategies and environmental adjustments
  • Need collaborative input from therapists, families, or schools

  • Initial Consultation – We meet with you and your support team to learn your goals
  • Assessment & Observation – We identify patterns, triggers, and underlying needs
  • Plan Development – A personalised Behaviour Support Plan is created
  • Implementation & Training – We support your team to follow the plan confidently
  • Review & Adjust – We evaluate what’s working and adjust as needed
