At JANGO Community Services, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their ambitions. Our NDIS Finding and Keeping a Job Program, known as Pathways to Potential, is a dedicated journey designed to guide and support you. As an approved provider, we help you explore your interests, build valuable skills, and step confidently into the workforce. This program is more than just finding a job; it’s about discovering your purpose and increasing your independence through a structured plan.

Your Journey with Pathways to Potential

Phase 1: Discovery & Career Planning

Your journey begins with you. We take the time to understand your unique strengths, interests, and goals.

Key Goals:
  • Identify your work preferences and skills.
  • Create a personalised Career Plan that maps out your path to success.
  • Build a strong, trusting relationship with your JANGO mentor.
What to Expect:
  • Friendly one-on-one chats and assessments to explore your potential.
  • Fun, interactive workshops to help you set exciting career goals.
  • An introduction to helpful skills like budgeting for your pay cheque.

Phase 2: Building Your Job & Life Skills

We focus on building the practical and personal skills you need to shine in any workplace.

Key Goals:
  • Develop essential skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Build your confidence in social and professional situations.
  • Learn practical life skills like travel training and managing your time effectively.
What to Expect:
  • Group training sessions on topics like workplace communication and teamwork.
  • Individual coaching to help you build social skills and confidence.
  • Real-world practice in using public transport and creating a daily schedule.

Phase 4: Launching Your Career 

We ensure your transition into ongoing employment is smooth and successful, setting you up for a bright future.

Key Goals:
  • Move from supported learning to greater independence at work.
  • Feel confident in managing workplace tasks and relationships on your own.
  • Create a long-term plan for your career growth.
What to Expect:
  • A gradual handover of responsibilities as you become more confident.
  • Mentoring sessions to help you plan for your future career steps.
  • A celebration of your incredible journey and achievements!

NDIS Funding Information

The Pathways to Potential program is delivered as a Program of Support, which allows for a consistent and structured approach to helping you achieve your goals.

This program is primarily funded through the Core budget, and Capacity Building – Finding and Keeping a Job category in your NDIS plan. We will work with you and your support coordinator to ensure the program aligns perfectly with your plan and goals.
