Jango Community Services respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information handled through the Jango service management platform, including the Jango web portal and Jango Mobile application.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information when authorised users access or use Jango.

1. About Jango

Jango is a service management platform designed to support the delivery and administration of disability and community support services.

Jango provides authorised users with access to functionality that may include work schedules, service sessions, client information, service-delivery records, documents, progress information, events, notifications and other operational features.

Access to Jango is controlled according to the user’s account, organisation, role and permissions.

Jango Mobile is a companion application providing authorised mobile access to supported Jango functionality.

2. Information We May Collect

The information processed through Jango depends on the user’s role, permissions and the services being delivered.

Information may include:

  • Name and contact information
  • User account and profile information
  • Organisation and employment-related information
  • Work schedules and assigned service sessions
  • Client or participant information
  • Service-delivery records
  • Session notes and progress information
  • Goals, support needs and other information relevant to service delivery
  • Documents and files uploaded to Jango
  • Evidence associated with service delivery
  • Incident or concern information where applicable
  • Travel and service-related information
  • Location information where required for supported service-delivery functions
  • Notification information
  • Device and application information required to operate Jango Mobile
  • Technical information necessary for security, troubleshooting and operation of the service

The specific information available to a user depends on their authorised access within Jango.

3. How We Use Information

Information processed through Jango may be used to:

  • Provide and operate the Jango platform
  • Authenticate users and maintain secure access
  • Display information authorised for a user’s role and permissions
  • Manage schedules and service sessions
  • Support service delivery and associated record keeping
  • Maintain client and participant records
  • Record session notes, evidence, progress, events and related information
  • Support administrative and operational activities
  • Deliver work-related notifications
  • Maintain security and prevent unauthorised access
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve reliability
  • Maintain records required for organisational, contractual, regulatory or legal purposes

We do not use information accessed through Jango Mobile for unrelated advertising purposes.

4. Client and Participant Information

Jango may process personal and sensitive information relating to clients or participants receiving disability or community support services.

Access to this information is restricted according to the authenticated user’s organisation, role and permissions.

Authorised users are expected to access and use client or participant information only where necessary for their authorised duties and in accordance with their organisation’s policies and applicable privacy requirements.

5. Location Information

Jango Mobile may request access to a device’s location while the application is being used.

Location information may be used for applicable service-delivery functionality, such as:

  • Session check-in and check-out
  • Supporting verification of service delivery
  • Travel-related records
  • Other location-dependent service-delivery functions

Jango Mobile does not require continuous background location tracking for normal use unless a particular feature expressly requires it and the user has been informed accordingly.

Users can manage location permissions through their device settings. Restricting location access may prevent some location-dependent features from operating correctly.

6. Notifications

Jango may send work-related notifications concerning activities such as:

  • Session assignments
  • Session updates
  • Session cancellations
  • Upcoming session reminders
  • Sessions that have not been started
  • Service-delivery updates
  • Other relevant Jango events

Jango Mobile uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and OneSignal to deliver native push notifications to supported Apple devices.

Notification delivery providers receive the technical information necessary to deliver a notification to the appropriate registered device.

Users can control notification permissions through their device settings.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

We may use trusted service providers to operate and support Jango.

These may include providers used for:

  • Cloud and application infrastructure
  • Email and communications
  • Push notification delivery
  • Security and authentication
  • Application monitoring and technical support

For Jango Mobile, OneSignal is used to facilitate native push notification delivery, including delivery through Apple’s APNs infrastructure.

Where third-party providers process information on our behalf, information is provided only as reasonably necessary to perform the relevant service.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed through Jango against unauthorised access, misuse, interference, loss, alteration and disclosure.

Security measures may include:

  • Authentication controls
  • Role and permission-based access
  • Organisation-level access restrictions
  • Secure HTTPS communications
  • Access controls for documents and other protected resources
  • Application and server security controls
  • Logging and monitoring of relevant system activity

No electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should not share passwords or authentication information with unauthorised persons.

9. Data Storage and Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Jango services and meet applicable operational, contractual, regulatory and legal requirements.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the requirements of the organisation responsible for the relevant records.

When information is no longer required, it may be securely deleted, de-identified or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable requirements.

10. Disclosure of Information

Personal information may be disclosed where:

  • It is necessary to provide or operate Jango services
  • It is shared with authorised personnel within the relevant organisation
  • A service provider requires limited information to perform services on our behalf
  • Disclosure is required or authorised by law
  • It is necessary to protect the security, rights or safety of users, clients, participants or the Jango platform

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

11. Account Access

Jango Mobile does not provide public account registration.

Accounts are created and managed through authorised organisations using the Jango platform.

Users who require changes to their account, access or permissions should contact their organisation or Jango administrator.

12. Accessing or Correcting Personal Information

Subject to applicable requirements, individuals may request access to or correction of personal information held about them.

Because information within Jango may be managed on behalf of an organisation providing services, some requests may need to be directed to the organisation responsible for the relevant record.

For assistance, please contact us using the details below.

13. Privacy Complaints and Questions

If you have a question, concern or complaint regarding privacy or the handling of personal information through Jango, please contact us.

We will review privacy enquiries and complaints and take appropriate steps to respond.

14. Children’s Privacy

Jango is not a general consumer application directed at children.

Where information relating to a child or young person is processed through Jango as part of authorised disability or community service delivery, that information is handled as part of the relevant service records and subject to appropriate organisational access controls and privacy requirements.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Jango’s functionality, practices, legal obligations or service providers change.

The latest version will be published on the Jango website with the date it was last updated.
